Privacy
Your privacy.
What this website does with your information.
What we collect
If you use the contact form, we receive the name, email address, phone number and message you enter. If you email or call, we receive whatever you choose to share. Please keep first messages brief and leave out confidential details. We can cover those once we’ve spoken.
Our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. It’s used only to keep the site running and secure.
How we use it
Only to reply to you and, if you become a client, to schedule and conduct your mediation. We don’t sell your information, use it for advertising, or add you to any list you didn’t ask to join.
How long we keep it
Inquiries that don’t lead to a mediation are deleted after one year. Client records are kept for as long as required by applicable laws and/or standards.
Cookies and browser storage
This site doesn’t use advertising cookies. Your browser may store small preferences, such as a menu setting. The live help widget, described below, sets its own cookie.
The live help widget
Pages on this site load a live help widget provided by Gracer (gracer.io). When you use it, what you type, including any name, email address or phone number you choose to enter, is sent to Gracer’s servers and delivered to us. The widget also sets a cookie and stores a few preference flags in your browser so it can recognize a conversation in progress and remember whether you dismissed a prompt. If it offers voice, your browser will ask your permission before using your microphone. Gracer handles this information under its own terms and privacy policy. Please don’t share confidential details of your dispute in the chat.
The Family Mediation Guide
If you request the guide, we receive the email address you enter. We use it only to send the guide and, if you ask, to follow up.
Newsletter
The newsletter signup boxes on the Book and Insights pages are provided by Substack. If you subscribe, Substack receives your email address and handles it under its own privacy policy. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
The self-check
The “Is mediation right for you?” self-check runs entirely in your browser. Your answers aren’t sent to us or stored anywhere.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you by writing to the email below. We’ll respond within five business days.
Confidentiality of mediation
What’s said in a mediation session is covered by the confidentiality ground rules Steven explains at the start. This page covers only the website.
Changes
If this page changes, the date below will change with it.
